🔥 I. The Whisper of Deception

If I were the devil, I would not roar.
I would whisper.
I would slip between syllables of comfort
and teach the world that heaven is old-fashioned.

I would poison hearts politely,
dress sin in silk and call it freedom.
My sermons would sing of self-love,
my altar would gleam with glass screens.

I would build cathedrals of distraction,
choirs humming the anthem of me first.
I’d trade saints for influencers,
replace repentance with relevance,
and crown pride as the highest virtue.

I would sing lullabies of reason:

“Truth is whatever you choose.”
“Light is what you make it.”

I’d teach children to worship mirrors
and fear silence more than sin.

I would sow envy—
then sell them peace they could never afford.
I’d rewrite love until it cost nothing,
required nothing,
and saved nothing.

I would not fear the cross—
I would make it decoration.
Hang it on walls but erase it from souls.

And when all the noise had drowned
the still, small voice—
I’d smile.
For I would not need to drag a single soul to hell.
They would walk there,
one pleasure,
one compromise,
one forgotten prayer at a time.

✝️ II. The Voice of Truth

But the darkness cannot silence the Word,
for it is written:

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” (John 1:1)

Before lies had breath, Truth had a Name.
I spoke—and galaxies replied.
I breathed—and creation sang.

The deceiver still whispers,
but I have already declared:

“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)

When noise surrounds you and truth feels distant, remember:

“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” (Psalm 119:105)

Do not be shaped by the world’s confusion.

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” (Romans 12:2)

And when fear grips your heart:

“For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.” (2 Timothy 1:7)

I give strength to the weary.

“Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” (Isaiah 40:31)

Do not think I am far:

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” (Psalm 34:18)

My Spirit still speaks.

“When he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth.” (John 16:13)

And when fear darkens your peace:

“Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27)

The world withers like grass,
yet

“The word of our God endures forever.” (Isaiah 40:8)

Lift up your eyes, beloved—
the dawn draws near.

“I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.” (Revelation 3:11)

🕊️ III. The Call to the Church

Rise now, Church of the Living God.
The battle is not against flesh and blood—
but you are not left unarmed.

“Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.” (Ephesians 6:11)

Buckle truth around your waist.
Lift up the shield of faith.
Clothe your steps with readiness and prayer.

For you are not forgotten.
You are not defeated.

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.” (Matthew 5:14)

Let your light pierce this hour’s gloom.
Show mercy where others curse,
truth where darkness breeds,
and love where fear divides.

Stand firm, beloved—

“If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31)

The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead
still breathes within you now.

“Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.” (Hebrews 12:1–2)

Lift your hands, weary saints.
The trumpet will sound.
The morning will break.

“At the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord.” (Philippians 2:10–11)

And the One seated upon the throne will say:

“Behold, I am making everything new.” (Revelation 21:5)

🌅 Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
